Ganga-Ganges is as long as the history of Indian civilization. Barring, the period of Harappan civilization, it is Ganga-Ganges basin, which has been the spectator to all the actions that shaped Indian mythology, history, and people. It was in this plain that the great kingdoms of Magadha, Gupta, and Mughals found their home. It is also the region that created one of the most homogenous cultures of all times in the civilizations of the world. It was also the place which created the essence of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism.

Gangotri is an ideal location for whatever you wish. It can be your urge to placate the Gods above, your thirst for adventure, or just seeking the tranquillity of Himalayas, Gangotri is an ultimate destination. Gangotri, more than anything else, is known as the origin of the sacred river Ganges and attracts tourists in large numbers every year. It was proclaimed that Shiva’s consort Goddess Uma or Parvati would bathe in Ganges daily. The confrontation with the daunting rivers and attempts to unravel the mysteries of the supernatural world are ubiquitous sights here.

According to the legends, when the Gods left their footprints on the land of Haridwar, metaphorically they also left an indelible mark on the spiritual ethos of every Hindu - more so, the devout, who would later follow their holy paths all across this blessed land. Haridwar, due to its geographical location stands as the gateway to the four pilgrimages of Uttrakhand. Mentioned as Mayapuri, Gangadwar, and Mokshadwar in the ancient scriptures and epics, Haridwar has always remained as a major Shaktipeeth for the devotees.

Varanasi indeed offers the incredible India at its religious and cultural zenith. The virtuous Varanasi on the banks of Ganga-Ganges is one of the most important pilgrimages for Hindus and Buddhists in India. The two steams flowing through the city namely, Varuna and Assi lend their name to Varanasi. The city of spiritual light, Varanasi was earlier called the ancient living city of Benaras. Varanasi has been the center of education, religion, art of culture since ages.
